The Mysterious Merchant is an NPC who appears at 9:00 am, 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. He stays active in the game for exactly 2 hours. When he appears, all players receive the following notification: The Mysterious Merchant is now at XX (place). He sells many kinds of special quest scrolls. There are a number of different Mysterious Merchants. Each one sells a unique selection of quest scrolls. The Mysterious Merchant also sells certain quest-reward items (these are items that are normally only available in specific quest lines).

Players must spend Phoenix Points to buy the Mysterious Merchant's items.

Any player can make an announcement to let all the other players know the position of the Mysterious Merchant in order to receive 1 Reputation Point. This costs 2 Phoenix Points.

The Mysterious Merchant may appear at: Phoenix Village, Wilshire, Linshire, Mount Dawn, Eli, RoAnn, Mount Tai Summit, Cherry City, Woo County, Daze Village, Mount Aya, Hongmin Village, the Outskirts of Sak, Yata, York City and Huston Plain.

Quest Description: The rabbits in Phoenix Village are breeding much too fast. They have destroyed much of the village’s valuable grassland. Because he’s concerned about the environment, Alea thinks the rabbits need to be exterminated.

Kill as many spiders as you can so they can no longer dirty up the village.

Quest Description: There’s a particularly wicked deer lurking in the forest near Anna’s granny’s house. Kill as many deer as you can to teach their nefarious brethren a lesson they won’t soon forget. Also, bring back some of their blood so that Anna can use it to make an ablative ointment his granny can rub on her bruises.
