First 10 levels in Phoenix Dynasty Online

Welcome to the world of Phoenix Dynasty Online. As most players' anticipation, PDO finally goes to open beta stage. There are a lot of changes since open beta compared to closed beta. So let's take a tour of the first 10 levels in Phoenix Dynasty Online.

 

When you have created your character, the first thing is to go to find Teacher standing under the big tree. He has something to tell you. Here you will reach level 2 and get your first quest named Get the Rabbit Leg Meat. Head to the east of the village and find the rabbits. Rabbits drop a lot of money and stuff; collect 3 pieces of Rabbit Leg Meat from rabbit and return to the Teacher and talk to him.

 

He asks you to visit several NPCs in the village and please visit them one by one and each of them will give you a gift. So the quest called Greeting the Sainted is assigned to you. After visiting the Blacksmith (132,177), Tailor (148,158), Jewelcrafter (153,154), Alchemist (158,215) and Doctor (152,209), a new quest named A Visit to the Elderly is assigned to you. Go to the north of the village and find The Elder (111,177) and talk to him. He will tell you about the history of the Phoenix village and the current situation outside of the village. After the conversation, go back to report to the Teacher, he will ask you to pay a visit to Mr. Everbright (195, 38). Open the area map and you will see he is in the southeast corner of the map.

 

Go across the bridge and finally you will find him. He will introduce you to the skill trainer and you need to learn a certain skill (depending on your class) from him. You can find the Skill Trainer just standing a few steps away and you greet him. If you do not have enough money, you can not learn the skill, so you need to go out and hunt more mobs to collect enough money and return. Now you've learnt the skill and report back to Mr. Everbright. He will assign a new quest Trying a New Skill to you.

 

Now you should reach level 6, click B to open your inventory and you will find some green equipment. Equip them and you will see your attack/defense/hp/mp increase a lot and you are shining. Yes! The green equipment is the best equipment in the game. They can be gained in many ways. We will talk about it later. And now you can ride a horse. Talk to Mr. Omniscient and answer several questions right, you will get a horse. Feels cool um? You can also claim double experience time from Omniscient, each week you will have 10 hours. Check it by yourself and you will get surprises.

 

OK now you have collected 6 pieces of deer meat and report to Mr. Everbright. He asks you to go to Sun City to find a guy called State Consultant. But before that you should say goodbye to the Elder and the Teacher. You've gained a lot of experience by talking to them and now you should head to the Northwest of the village and find the way to Sun City.

 

We suggest you hunt more mobs in newbie village to gain a bit of money. In Phoenix Dynasty Online, outside of the Phoenix village, only human-shaped mobs drop gold. So we suggest you collect as much gold as you can before you go to visit State Consultant in Sun City.

 

Sun City is very big. Walk along the road and you can find State Consultant (283,153) easily. Talk to him and he will tell you something about 5 Element and currently state situation. After the first conversation, you will gain 3000 experience. And you've received some quests. Talk to him again to know the details of different states. Click each state and you will gain experience. After this conversation, talk to him again and you will decide which state to join. Choose it carefully and you will start your further journey in Phoenix Dynasty Online.

 

Normally you will reach level 10 now. Don't forget go and find the warehouse manager to open your second bag of the inventory.

 

You can delay doing the 5 Element quest if you think this quest is really difficult to understand. Let us study the Quest for the Five Elements.

 

 

Go to the south gate of Sun City and you will find the Element Master is there. You will be teleported to Five Element Palace. Click M and you can not view the area map, so you need to explore this place. Your first task is to find out the Metal key. Kill Porcupine and you will get the Metal Key. Where are the Elemental Chests? You can find it in the north of the Five Element Palace and you need to use Flying Leap skill (Ctrl+left click) to jump there. According to the 5 Element theories, you need to use Metal key to open Wood Chest. Then kill Wild Bull to get the wood key, use wood key to open Earth Chest. Kill Boar to get Earth Key, use Earth key to open Water Chest. Kill lizard to get Water Key, use Water key to open Fire Chest. Kill Macaque to get Fire key, use Fire Key to open Metal Chest.

 

Then talk to the Element Master again and click the second choice, and you will be teleported to the 2nd floor of Five Element Palace. You need to sacrifice Earth Book to the Metal Altar, Metal Book for the Water Altar, Water Book for Wood Altar, Wood book for Fire Altar, Fire Book for Earth Altar. Head to the right corner of the map and you will find a Teleportation Stone. Click it and you will be transferred to the Element Master again. You can learn the information about how 5 Elements affect the ability. After knowing all of the information, you can choose your major element.

 

After you've completed the Quest for Five Elements you will get a skill book but you can not study it because you are lack of Elemental Magic. Now you can choose to enter the Elemental Fairy Realm to gain Elemental Magic. Elemental Magic is used for element skills upgrade. A new quest Elemental Magic is assigned to you. Talk to the Element Saint and you will receive the task to kill five kinds of mobs in different elemental fairy realm. Go to Metal Fairy Realm and kill 10 Verdant Beasts, Wood Fairy Realm to kill 10 Chromatic Birds, Water Fairy Realm to kill 10 Finned Tortoises, Fire Fairy Realm to kill 10 Battle Apes and Earth Fairy Realm to kill 10 Mountain Furies. After completing the quests, talk to the Element Saint again and you will be rewarded with 3000 elemental magic, then you can study your element skill. You might get soul spars during hunting mobs in Element Fairy Realm. Hand it over to the Skill Trainer in Sun City to exchange reputation, Gold, Experience or Medicine, which could be set by clicking the prompt window after reaching a new level.

 

You can also learn life skills from NPCs in Sun City. You can learn blacksmithing from Blacksmith; Armoring and leathering from Tailor; Jewel crafting from Jewel crafter.

 

Now you should go and join your state, to start your journey in Phoenix Dynasty Online.
