New Living skills

The Craftsman in Sun City teaches Gathering and Processing. When both are learned, they are able to make a miner that can collect valuable ores and herbs and process them. Throughout the vast breadth of the world lie myriad raw materials of Blacksmithing and Alchemy; most of them are ores, gems and herbs, coming in many different colors and shapes. By consuming stamina, a miner can collect them. Afterwards, they can be traded or used as raw materials for Blacksmith and Alchemy. The different types of ores, gems and herbs have different properties; some of the properties are basic,some of them superior. When used for Alchemy or Blacksmithing, they essentially affect the very attributes of the outcomes. Therefore, Processing can help strengthen any low-level materials for them to be better used; it can also strength attributes of gears themselves, improving their special attributes such as critical hit rate or movements' impairing rate.


At high levels, a miner with the both skills plays an important part in adventures' "bag of tricks". For almost all rare or heavily-enchanted gears have sockets; once inlaid upgraded gems, they will embody the prowess of the gems and thus become even more powerful.


Learn New Skills:


Gathering includes two branches, namely Mining and Herb Gathering. Processing includes two branches, namely Smelting and Alchemy. Players can learn all of them. The four skill branches are independent of each other. Gathering skills require training from craftsmen to upgrade. Processing skills are automatically upgraded for free.


Gathering Skill


Gathering includes mining and herb  gathering. After exploring mineral deposits, players can obtain raw materials with which to forge weapons and equipment. The quality of the ore depends on that of the deposit. Raw materials come in 15 different levels.

2). Proficiency


Both the player's mining level and the ore level influence mining proficiency. If the ore is one level lower than the player's mining level, he will gain 80% proficiency. If the ore is two levels lower than the player's mining level, he will gain 50% proficiency. If the ore is over two levels lower than the player's mining level, the player will not gain proficiency. Mining proficiency is required to upgrade one's mining level.

Mining and herb gathering cost stamina.


4). Processing tools


Processing tools are sorted into "Phoenix Point Tools" and "Non-Phoenix Point Tools". Players will save more stamina and gain more proficiency with Phoenix Point tools.


II. Herb Gathering


Herb Gathering skills are sorted into root & stem gathering and flower & leaf gathering. Both of the two skills can increase one's herb gathering proficiency. Otherwise, the rules for the herb gathering skill are the same as the mining skill.

Processing Skill


Using the processing system, players can turn low-level materials into high-level materials. They can also enhance the attributes of existing items or be used to create beneficial medicines. Processing skills are sorted into Smelting and Alchemy.


I. Smelting


1). Smelting Rules


Smelting is the process in which low-level ore is upgraded to high-level ore.

2). Item strengthening


When smelted into an item, the ore can only change the item's special attributes. The basic attributes will not be altered. Items can be repeatedly strengthened. The latest effects of strengthening replace those of earlier attempts. Each time you strengthen a piece of equipment there is chance of failure. If the strengthening fails, the item's maximum endurance will be lowered. Players can buy Phoenix Point Items to guarantee a successful strengthening, however.


3). Proficiency


Players will gain proficiency after ore smelting and item strengthening.


4) .Stamina


Both ore smelting and item strengthening cost stamina.


5). Smelting tools


Smelting tools are sorted into "Phoenix Point Tools" and "Non-Phoenix Point Tools". Players will save more stamina or gain more proficiency when using Phoenix Point Tools to smelt ore.


II. Alchemy


1). Alchemy Rules

Alchemy-created medicines are sorted into recovery medicines, attack medicines and defense medicines. Recovery medicines are sorted into HP recovery medicines and MP recovery medicines.


The medicines to be created must be of the same sort. The level of the product depends on the player's alchemy level.

3). Medicine attributes


The better the medicinal materials are, the more attributes the products will have. Medicine made from white materials will have either attribute #1 or attribute #2 chosen randomly according to the player's skill proficiency. Medicine made from blue materials will have either attribute #3 or attribute #4 chosen randomly according to the player's skill proficiency. Medicine made from green materials will have attribute #3.


4). Alchemy Tools


Alchemy tools are sorted into "Phoenix Point Tools" and "Non-Phoenix Point Tools". Players will save more stamina or gain more proficiency when using Phoenix Point Tools to process m

Resources are: waste ore, identified ore, unidentified ore and bonus. Bonus includes special items such as tomes, quest scrolls and gems. Among the resources, identified ore takes a percentage of 60; unidentified ore takes 19; waste ore takes 20 and bonus takes 1.
After mining, players can identify the ore. It costs money if you ask an NPC to identify it.
