What's the Five-Element System?
Ancient eastern civilizations believe that every substance consists of five elements -- wood, fire, earth, metal, water. The relationships of these five elements are mutual generation and restriction, which means that every element can generate another element and at the same time restrict another different element.

In PDO, the Five-Element theory is the basis of various important in-game systems such as professions, skills, monsters, and item crafting.. For example, a water paladin has extra attacking power over fire monsters (such as monkeys) as ''wate'' restricts ''fire''. How can I identify five elements?

In the Phoenix Dynasty Online, every element has its unique mark and color. The following table will give you a clear picture.

How does the Five-Element System affect my class and skills?

As you may already learn, when creating your character in this game, there are four types of character classes you can choose from: Paladin, Assassin, Priest and Wizard. However, this's just the tip of the iceberg in the profession system of PDO.

 

Major Element Attribute

After you reach level 10 and talk to Element Master (Sun City 465,150), you will get your major element quest. After finishing the quest, you can select your major element attribute, and your character's hidden capability will be unleashed.
