Background of Artifacts –What is an artifact
Artifacts are easy to get via a newbie quest at mere level 15, and they will grow and mature with your character, giving you additional power such as upgraded health and mana cap, higher critical hit rate and attack force. Surely it will be a perfect addition to your gear arsenal. Just talk to Artifact Master in Sun City when you at level 15, and he
will assign you the artifact quest.
There are many kinds of artifacts. Some of them can be obtained from the world at large while others are created artificially. Rumor says the top ten legendary artifacts in ancient times are: the Holy Sword, the Emperor's Bell, the World Creator's Axe, the Demon-melting Kettle, the Heavenly Immortal Pagoda, the Great Ancestor's Zither, the God's Vessel, the Dragon Seal, the Mirror of Percipience, and the Goddess'Stone.
How to Acquire Artifacts
Step1. Get the artifact quest by talking with the Artifact Master in Sun City, who will give you a Spirit Trapping Stone.
Step2. Summon the Spirit Beast in the Demon-Sealed Platform by the Spirit Trapping Stone, defeat him, and report to the Artifact Master.
Step3.The Artifact Master will let you choose one artifact as your reward.
(Notice: if failing to defeat the Spirit Beast, you will have to reactivate the quest by talking to the Artifact Master again.)
Features of Artifacts
There's no limitation when you use "General Artifact". Its strengthened attack skills and relevant attributive effects apply to players of any class.
Players will be granted a special strength of "Class artifact” if they achieve certain goals. Unqualified players may not possess this kind of artifact.
Players who gain enough reputation are able to possess "Reputation artifacts".
"Special Artifacts" have particular characteristics.
Categories of Artifacts
You may find different categories of artifacts with different uses in this episode. We will provide six great artifacts in succession, they are: the Emperor's Bell, the Great Ancestor's Zither, the Dragon Seal, the World Creator's Axe, the God's Vessel and the Immortal Wand.
These artifacts are classified according to their specialties. There are: "General Artifacts"; "Class Artifacts"; "Reputation Artifacts"; and "Special Artifacts". (Artifacts of each category will be made available on a continuous basis.)
Holy Sword: An ancient golden sword created by the god with which the Emperor beat the Lord of Evil. It exerts immeasurably power as it banishes demons.
Emperor's Bell: It's said that the bell can open the gates of the Heaven. According to the ancient records found in Heaven Cave, Emperor's Bell takes the greatest of the ten legendary artifacts. It is mighty enough to destroy the world.
World Creator's Axe: At the beginning of time, there was no horizon between the sky and the earth. The Creator cleaved the world with a giant axe and separated the two. This axe's holy strength is capable of creating a brand new world.
Demon-melting Kettle: There's a fantastic space inside this arcane kettle vast enough to contain an entire universe.
Heavenly Immortal Pagoda: No demon can escape from this mystic pagoda; even immortal spirit are subject to its might. However, no one knows its whereabouts now.
Great Ancestor's Zither: This magic musical instrument radiates a soft white luster. It was created by the Great Ancestor to pacify the Great Primordial Beasts at the beginning of time. It has the power to twist the souls of every creature on earth.
God's Vessel: This is the vessel that the God of Medicine used to mill precious herbs. It is imbued with the spirit of amazing medicines with which miraculous cures can be refined. It also has other mysterious strengths.
Dragon Seal: This is the divine guardian artifact of the immortal dragon tribe on which the image of Sky Emperor is carved. It is said that the one who commands the seal will become powerful enough to dominate the whole world, as well as become blessed with an eternal life. Numerous alchemists set sail in search of the seal, but none of them came back alive.
Mirror of Percipience: Described in the myth, this magic mirror was originally found in the Heaven Palace of Immortal Mountain. It can open a time tunnel that intertwines past, present and future. However, it was stolen at a feast of gods and its present whereabouts is unknown.
Goddess' Stone: The Goddess is adored by her people for she created human beings and protected them from natural disasters and wicked demons. It is said that the She poured all her spirit into a multicolored jade stone to save her beloved daughter, who had died of sickness.
Upgrading Artifacts:
Once equipped, artifacts will gain experience that applies toward upgrades as the bearer combats monsters. In order to gain more experience for artifacts, artifact bearers need to kill monsters of an appropriate level corresponding to their own. Besides, the Tai-Chi potion greatly improves the efficiency for artifacts to upgrade, which can be bought at the Artifact Master in Sun City and the PP Store. And when having absorbed enough EXP bonus for an upgrade, artifacts needs to be upgraded by a click at the upgrade button in the artifact panel before absorbing more experience.
The Synthesis Process
Only Artifacts of the same level and quality can be synthesized.
Quality 2 artifacts may be enchanted with 2 distinguished attributes at most, while Quality 3 may be enchanted with 3 attributes.
Artifacts of the same attribute will add their attribute values to the synthesized one, whereas the values will not be added if the two artifacts are of different attributes.
Synthesis
From Quality 1 to Quality 2
Two quality 1 artifacts both at level 5 can be synthesized into one quality 2 artifact by talking with the Artifact Master in Sun City.
Step 1: Prepare two quality 1 artifacts both at level 5 and speak with the Artifact Master.
Step2: Click the Advance in the dialog panel, put in the artifacts that you want to upgrade, and click OK.
Step3. There will be two results:
1. Synthesis successful, two artifacts are upgraded into one with all the attributes stacked.
2. Synthesis failure, two artifacts remain intact, deplete of all magic.
From Quality 2 to Quality 3:
Two quality 2 artifacts both at level 10 can be synthesized into one quality 3 artifact by talking with the Artifact Master in Sun City.
Step 1: Prepare two quality 2 artifacts both at level 10 and speak with the Artifact Master.

Artifact Effects
"General Artifacts" grant two effects to players. The initial effect is the legendary "Flash"ability; that is, the bearer may have chance to cast “Flash” each time he kills 10 monsters. The effect and the attribute values increase as the artifact leveling up.

Doing this imbues the bearer with the common attributes of the two synthesized ones, though there is a chance that the process will offset some portion of the artifact's strength. When an artifact achieves certain level and quality, it can be purified with special purifying equipment and its strength enhanced. This is the ultimate goal of the pursuit of artifacts.
