Legendary artifacts are rumored to be made by the gods and are blessed with mystical powers in Chinese Mythology, where these concepts are brought to the new artifact system of Phoenix Dynasty Online. The artifacts power up players' own character stats; after being equipped, as well as providing stunning artifact skills. In the expansion pack, six general artifacts are introduced; they are the Emperor's Bell, the Great Ancestor's Zither, the Dragon Seal, the World Creator's Axe, the God's Vessel and the Immortal Wand. Each type of artifact gives out different stats: boost, like HP, MP, Attack Power, Defense, Dodge and Hitting Rate. This would give extra edge to newbies when they start off their journey in Phoenix Dynasty Online.

 

All the artifacts are free, and as easy to obtain by doing a Lv.15 quest. Players can keep as many artifacts as they want. However, the real destructive power would unleash only when they reach higher levels. Yes, they are growing with the characters! After being equipped, the artifact will receive exp. from each monster it helps to kill. What is special about the artifact growing system is that at certain points, players have to synthesis two artifacts into one before they can upgrade. The stats will get doubled after the synthesis of two same artifacts, whereas with the synthesis of two different artifacts, it will come out with both stats but decreased values. At the last synthesis (This expansion pack would allow), the artifact will have a stunning makeover in appearance. The only thing that matters to the artifact growing is the artifact exp., gained by killing mobs. But to avoid the intense farming, Tai-chi potions are created to grant good exp. bonus and speed up the overall artifact growth.

 

 

Artifact also provides up to 6 unique skills. With three levels of the artifact gained each time, one skill slot will be activated. And players can experience new artifact skills by enchanting the slot with skills stones. The skill will be activated after every ten valid kills. The skill effect and values will increase as it grows with the artifact.
